This photo does not begin to show the scale of the building... it was just so mind-bogglingly huge, I instantly got goose bumps! There are several dead popes in glass tombs in here, we found it more than a little bizarre. It was really strange because in this most amazing church we lost count of pope effigies…hundreds of paintings and sculptures and dead bodies…and you know how many images we saw of Jesus? Three!
