OK my photos are finally getting beyond my first day. Heidelburg was a killer to get into and out of(around 5 or 6 trains in one day) but it was definitely worth it. The town was buzzing as it was a Saturday, markets were out and everyone was sitting in the sun drinking beer and eating bratwurst. This is part of the view from the castle. You can see the gorgeous little bridge with fairytale gates in the middle.
